OUR MISSION is to ensure that children and their classrooms in the Greater Metropolitan Saint Louis Area have the basic tools for learning by transferring, at no cost, the community's surplus supplies and merchandise into the hands of teachers for school children in need.

Kick-off for shopping has been bumped to Tuesday, August 4th

Come be a KidSmart Star at our 2009 Shopping Kick-Off Event. Channel 5 will be here and we will have games and special prizes including a year's supply of pencils, class sets of supplies and a Treasure Chest of items we've accumulated over the summer. Read more for all of the details.

KidSmart Push for Pencils at Crown Vision Center & Commerce Bank

Crown Vision Center and Commerce Bank will serve as KidSmart's Official Community Partners for the 2009 Push for Pencils Campaign. All neighborhood Crown Vision Centers and Commerce Banks will be community drop-off locations and accept school supply donations during the month of August.

Wal-Mart Donates $20,000 for Back to School

For the second year in a row, Wal-Mart has donated $20,000 to KidSmart in support of school supplies for St. Louis area children going back to school. As part of this generous gift, KidSmart is partnering with Wal-Mart to promote a $10,000 Shopping Spree Essay Writing Contest for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in the St. Louis area.
