Local Groups Give A Gift Of Heart
More than 20 religious groups and local universities came together to give a Gift of Heart throughout February. The groups held drives to collect school supplies for local kids in need. The supplies were donated to KidSmart as part of the third annual Gift of Heart supply drive. More than 7,000 educational supplies, valued at more than $6,000, were collected.
"The Gift of Heart drive is a community wide school supply drive that harnesses the giving power of local religious organizations to help local kids in need succeed in school," notes KidSmart Manager of Corporate and Donor Relations Allison Rockamann.
