KidSmart Turns Five
Five years ago a local teacher had a concept for a new local business. The idea was simple; to provide free school supplies to St. Louis area kids in need so they would have the chance to succeed in school. The idea became a reality and KidSmart doors opened on Jan. 8, 2002 to supply students from 14 local schools.
Since that day, KidSmart has grown to serve more than 80 local schools and has distributed over $4 million in product to more than 40,000 local kids in need.
The entire St. Louis community has helped take KidSmart from an idea to a reality. From product and financial donations, to thousands of volunteer hours, the community has come together to help our local kids succeed in school.
To celebrate this milestone KidSmart will host a fifth birthday party Monday, Jan. 8 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at KidSmart. If you would like to attend please RSVP to info@kidsmartstl.org or call 314.291.6211.
