Teachers
The KidSmart Free Store is located in a 10,000 square foot office building in Bridgeton, Missouri where teachers have the chance to shop for free school supplies and educational materials for their students in need.
KidSmart is the only free educational supply store in Missouri and currently serves students at more than 70 St. Louis area schools. More than 80,000 St. Louis area students are eligible for KidSmart’s services.
Teachers at schools where 70% or more of the students qualify for the federal free and reduced lunch program are eligible for KidSmart’s services. Teachers typically receive more than $400 in free supplies for his or her students in need during each shopping trip.
To be eligible to shop, teachers must be a full-time, certified teacher with his or her own classroom, at one of our eligible schools. To learn more about how to shop click here.
KidSmart is open for shopping Monday through Thursday from 3:00 – 6 pm and shoppers must be in line by 5:30 pm. Teachers are eligible to shop for once a month.
Teachers from schools not eligible to shop can earn a shopping trip by participating in our volunteer to shop program. The Volunteer to Shop program is open to teachers at KidSmart's current list of Volunteer to Shop schools.
